The human body has a ceiling of performance, we are genetically predisposed to reach a level which we will never be able to exceed. But the reality is that 99% of people have not even approached to touch it. The only way to unlock our full potential is by knowing our bodies and working smart.

How do we know if the training we do in the gym is effective and will make us improve, and we won’t be injuring ourselves?
The VITRUVE project was born of the concern of two young engineers, at the age of 20 years, lovers of strength sports and scientific advances. Soon they had the need to measure the speed of execution to control their workouts, since science had been about 20 years studying this field, and it was increasingly evident that it was the best training system and the only one that would provide objective data. But there was a problem: there was no velocity measurement tool at an affordable price for their pocket. Iker quickly put his own encoder in a shoebox, fully functional but somehow rudimentary.
After knowing that device, Oscar wanted another one, and so they saw that more and more people wanted that device mounted in a shoebox. So Iker and Oscar start on the task of standardizing that product and marketing it to the hundreds of trainers and athletes who demanded one. With the feedback they received from the first coaches, they created Speed4lifts, a device created by and for coaches and athletes, with the goal of democratizing high-quality training.
In 2019, they saw an immediate need to turn away the identity of the company. They needed a brand that would be identified with their values: a scientific and technological spirit that validated the project, a new democratized way of living sports and constant improvement of performance and health: Knowledge, perfection, and velocity.
That’s how VITRUVE was born in 2020. Our name is born from neologism from the Vitruvian Man, the study of the ideal proportions of Leonardo’s human body. The human body from the optics of science and history. Velocity as the foundation of the road to its improvement. A universal symbol on the body and its perfection. Where knowledge, research, and the body meet to improve.
